one million trees

I did some interesting reading this weekend. I am always facinated with exciting projects that combine two of my passions - Africa and cycling. The One Million Trees projects in sponsored by the Saunier Duval Pro Cycling team. They have decided to celebrate their 100th aniversary by planting 1 million trees in Mali. These trees represent each kilometer that the team will ride this year. That's one million km's!!! Regardless they kicked off the project this past week as several of the pro's went to Mali to race against the country's best racers. Velonews did a great series of stories on the event.
